Privacy Policy

Exambo LNAT is an LNAT preparation platform operated by Metacognition Labs LLC, the data controller responsible for the information described here. This policy explains what happens to the information you enter while using it, whether you practise signed out or with an account. Signed out, nothing reaches our servers: your practice answers, essay drafts, study plan, and scores are stored solely in your browser’s local storage on your own device. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your sign-in details — your email address, or the name and email shared by Google, Microsoft, or Apple — and your practice progress is synced to our database so it can follow you across devices. If you buy Full Access, payment is processed by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers. We run no advertising or third-party analytics pipeline.

Your working copy always lives on the device you practise on. When you are signed in, a copy of your progress is also stored in our database with our hosting provider (Render, hosted in the United States) so it can be restored on your other devices. If you never sign in, nothing is synced, transmitted, or backed up anywhere else, and clearing your browser’s site data removes it entirely.

Signing in sets the cookies our authentication provider needs to keep your session secure. Beyond that, we do not set tracking cookies, run advertising pixels, or use third-party analytics. The application uses browser storage only to make its own features work, such as remembering your answers and your theme preference.

The “Continue with Google / Microsoft / Apple” buttons on our login and signup pages use our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign in this way, the provider you choose shares your basic profile (name and email address) with us to create your account. We never see or store your password for those services.

Clearing the site’s data in your browser settings erases everything stored on your device, instantly and permanently. If you have an account and would like it and your synced progress deleted, email us at the address below and we will remove both.

If the application ever changes in a way that affects how data is handled — for example, by adding new integrations or analytics — this policy will be updated and the date above revised before any such change takes effect.
